Luke 2:10-11, 14
And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

I have a happy, happy husband this winter season due to the fact that we are Timberwolves season ticket holders for the first time! Sure, they’re not the best team in the NBA – but it’s still fun to live in a city where you can go to things like this! Another married couple at church who we’re good friends with decided to buy them with us as well – so while Nick and Stephen have Rubio feaver, Jess and I are looking forward to socializing. 🙂

This past Saturday was their first pre-season game at home – and after waiting so long for the lock-out to end, it was fun to finally be in our seats! It never hurts when they win, either. 😉

Some other good friends of ours, Tiffany and Peter, frequent the games a lot since Peter works for the team. We tagged along with them for this game and got to spend half of the game with Tiffany and her daughters, as well!

(Sorry, bad picture! Doesn’t do the cute girls justice!)

Another overdue Pinterest project recap. This one – of the Christmas persuasion.

Every year at Christmas time, my office (of 5 people) does a holiday potluck day. We all sign up for specific items (however – we know that every year the CEO spends hours “slaving away” over a variety of Chinese cuisine and the single 30-something guy does the same over a bucket of KFC. :)) to contribute, buy a secret Santa gift for our chosen recipient and play coaster shuffleboard on the big table in the conference room for random swag given to us by clients. Good times!

This year, I signed up to bring cheese & crackers and fruit for the meal. Mainly, because I had seen this idea on Pinterest.

So I gathered a few different types/colors of cheeses (including manchego – my fav!), some olives and cherry tomatoes and recreated the Christmas Tree cheese tray. I got extra points at the pot-luck for presentation, and thought it was a pretty cute way to display the tray!

Giving Thanks

We headed to Madison this past weekend to spend Thanksgiving with Nick’s sister, Melissa. She’s always a great host by being a great cook, taking us to terrific local spots and showing us “Mad Town’s” best.

After eating a great meal on Thursday we headed out to a few stores for some black Friday deals. Nick & Melissa are seasoned pros, so they did a bit more than Meredith…who would rather be sleeping.

Friday we finally convinced Nick to visit the National Mustard Museum (he DESPISES mustard. Seriously.) and even picked up some champagne mustard for our Christmas party. We went on to visit a local winery and then found some more shopping and good food in the Dells.

A few more stops at local shops on Saturday and we were on our way…another great Thanksgiving in the books!

This year, Nick and I are very thankful for the great friendships that have grown in the past year, Meredith’s fun new venture in the wedding world and God’s continued direction and provision in our life.

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends and lots of gratitude!

Hello, world.

There comes a time in every millenial generation’s newlywed life where you start a blog. So here we are.

Hopefully you laugh, cry and overall enjoy keeping up with Nick & Meredith’s lives via this outlet.

Welcome!
